Aynard takker for Køpckes venlige brev. Hun beklager, at der har været så mange misforståelser. Det ville alt sammen have været fint bortset fra det med pengene. Da hun erfarede, at Køpcke ikke ville tro hende, fik hun sin bank til at lave en attestation på at hun har afregnet med Reuther. Hvis det ikke havde været for alle disse ekspeditioner, ville udstillingen slet ikke have været dyr. Nu er Joppolo bekymret over betegnelsen malerier, men hun tror det kun vil give problemer. Hun anmoder Køpcke om at bruge det samme firma, som forstod overførslen, men håber, at det ikke giver hende en høj udgift oveni.

Dear sir thank you for your
nice letter. It is a pity we've
had all these misunderstandings
during this show, I hope they
are vanished now; except one:
about the money I owed you:
Seeing that you wouldn't believe
me I asked for an attestation
from my bank about that
transfer: so you can see I acted
as you wished and settle your
accounts with Mr. Reuther -
Indeed the show wouldn't have
been expensive, if we hadn't
all those expeditions; and now
these will be twice to pay for
the return... and Joppolo was
afraid of troubles for the
mention "paintings" and wants
to declare it is paintings you
send but I fear it will bring
more expenses and complications -
will you please, sending back
the other pictures, give them
to the same firm which understood
the first transfer. I hope you shall
see that it is not for me a
heavy cost in surplus, that was not
foreseen - All my best compliments
